![]() She apologizes for her daughter's attitude and explains that the daughter decided to make her own dress and wanted a full skirt out of tulle kinda like princesses have in movies. So after ten minutes I've finally measured it all out. There are so many reasons we can't do this, the main one being that if she tried to return it she'd be turned away. She didn't care if she was paying extra, she just wanted out of there. When she realized how long this would take, she wanted me to just make her a ticket saying the two bolts she had were each thirty yards. She then had me begin measuring out two cuts of 25 yards each. They also aren't magical wonderlands where we carry doubles of every item in store. I don't know what people who've never worked retail think of back rooms, but they're typically pretty chaotic. So she wanted me to go to the back room and find two packages of white tulle that we hadn't brought out to the floor quite yet. And it's cheap so even if someone walks out of the store with a whole bolt (please don't do this) it won't be quite as big of a deal as someone leaving with suede.Īnyways, there was no way I could give her fifty straight yards. Tulle comes on a bolt of 30 yards normally because it's so thin. Most of our bolts of fabric are 6-12 yards. Okay she's getting married, probably soon, definitely stressed about upcoming nuptials. I was working the cut counter and a very frazzled young lady came up with a giant rock on her left hand. So here we go I'm happy to answer any questions! To start things off, I'll tell you one of the most ridiculous stories from last August. I worked full time last fall, I would work full time now too but the company recently changed policy. The other store I worked at was a Small Large format store in CA(oh my god don't ask why they've named them like that it makes no sense to me either). This is the second Jo-Ann I've worked at and is a Large Large format store in WA. I took a break for my spring semester but will be continuing to work there unless school becomes too hectic. I spent last fall/winter working there August-January) and have spent this summer working there (July-now). I'm 21 and have worked at Jo-Ann for a total of 8 months. Otherwise, I'll give a little info about myself. I'll take a picture of the direct deposit I got today if anyone wants hard and fast proof.
